With the days getting a bit colder and a lot shorter some get stuck in the same outfit routine. Unflattering shoes, oversized sweaters (not the stylish kind) and hats that should have been burned back in 1986. Just because you can’t show as much skin and have to wear a couple more layers does not mean you have to sacrifice style! Winter showcases some of the most chic and gorgeous pieces of the year. Get a few practical pieces you can wear often that go with everything like this adorable black brocade coat or these charcoal buckled pumps, both of which can easily be worn with jeans, tights, leggings, skirts, shorts, dresses…you get the point. Embrace the cold while looking your best!

In typical Los Angeles style, we went from scorching midsummer heat to breezing autumn chill.

Unfortunately, I didn’t know cooler temperatures were just around the corner when I scheduled our fall catalog photo shoot.  So we had the shoot on an especially hot 107°F Saturday in downtown Los Angeles.

Our models stood in the blazing sun sweating in fall coats and sweaters, yet they made it look so comfortable and easy. If it wasn’t because I was dripping as well, I would never have guessed it was so hot. Yet, thanks to the team’s professionalism and sense of humor, the day went by smoothly and quickly.  Despite long hours and scorching weather, I loved working with everyone.

Some of the photos from this shoot are already visible throughout the site.  They are featured on all the main landing pages and for certain products under more photo options.  The catalog will be ready in a few days and will be emailed out to our newsletter subscribers as well as posted on our site.
