Oscars Red Carpet Glam

24 Feb

The best dressed are in. All that is beautiful and fashionable is on display. This year there’s no lack of lace, cleavage or long ruffled trains. Oh and don’t forget the glittering sequins.

Amy Adams in Oscar de la Renta, always a beautiful look. Although I think she could have glittered a bit more on the jewel and glammed up that hair.

jessicachastain2-340x440Jessica Chastain in Giorgio Armani I think is my favorite look of the evening. The color, fit and her Veronica Lake hair is all so perfect. And yes on ruby red lips!

85th Annual Academy Awards - ArrivalsBrandi Glanville? What? I have no words for this one… other than I hope she brought enough double stick tape.

Another one of my absolute favorites. If this dress was shortened you can wear it to a gala event or a spring wedding. Soooo beautiful. Lace is still a big hit! Alicia Vikander, does anyone know who this dress is by?162533307-louise-roe halle-berry-435x580

Halle berry in Marchesa bringing the sequined glam in art deco modern. It’s like Cleopatra done Michael Jackson style. Love it.

Jennifer Hudson in Roberto Cavalli Couture. Midnight blue is such an elegant color that needs to be appreciated more.
keith-urban-nicole-kidman-435x580

Nicole Kidman elegant as always however she usually gives us more wow. We know you coulda done better Nicole! Still a beautiful dress from L’Wren Scott.kristin-chenoweth-435x580 naomi-watts-435x580

Naomi Watts looked stunning and space age modern in her gunmetal sequin Armani gown. Love Love Love.

reese-witherspoon-435x580

Yes bright blue is soooo big. But I’m not sure this dress really did it justice. Reese Witherspoon is always elegant but for the Oscars we need more glam!! Dress from Louis Vuitton.

Sandra Bullock seemed to just put on a dress and showed up. The dress is great but it really needed an updo. Seems like everyone is skipping the hair dressers this Oscars. What is going on?
george-clooney-stacy-keibler-435x580

Stacey Keibler in Giorgio Armani. An elegant on fashion look that fit her amazing.162536656-640x893162538845-640x839 162539027-640x853 162539240-640x815

Jennifer Lawrence in Dior Couture. I feel like she is wearing a dropped napkin… What do you think?

162539345-640x519Lovely in red, Sally Fields wears a very age appropriate gorgeous trained gown from Valentino.
162541218-640x904

Catherine Zeta Jones appeared at the Oscars to revive her role as Velma from Chicago… lip sync style. The performance and this dress were both a mis-step. She is usually so fabulous. What happened? Dress is from Zuhair Murad.

162541309-640x985

Norah Jones is looking adorable these days. Very well picked elegant and simple number.162541684-640x923 162541685-640x983

The back of this Prada dress did not help make it any better. What a weird choice. I think what she wore on stage to sing her number looked better. This looks like an apron with weird boob issues. Plus that was the wrong necklace to wear with such a high neckline.

162543628-640x950

Adele always looks great :D Love her! Her stage dress was wonderfully selected too.

162544332-640x924This is a travesty of a choice. Selma Hayek is so beautiful, how can you mess this woman up? The gown is lovely but just not a good choice for her… and the hair… is hollywood lacking in hair dressers this year?

charlize-theron-435x580

Charlize Theron keeping it safe in white peplum. But I think peplum is on its way out. No more peplum please. This means the trend will still stay around for another year at least.

85th Annual Academy Awards - ArrivalsFinally someone who cares to do it right! I guess the big stars this year are tired and leaving it to the young ones to keep Hollywood’s biggest night looking fabulous. Amanda Seyfried in Alexander McQueen with flawless hair and make up. Perfect!! Wait till she sings ~ so amazing.
