Ladies of the Gala

Met Gala 2012 just happened and fashion news is abuzz about all the fabulous dresses and all the fabulous misses. Lady of the event Anna Wintours looked elegant in her all white Prada with daughter Bee on her arm in equally stunning deep blue florals. I have to say Bee’s dress was my favorite of the evening. Just like Katie Holme’s Oscar night dress from many months back midnight blue is a gorgeous statement color for evening occasions. The vintage floral is so on trend! What else would we expect from the offspring of the fashion Queen?

Before we talk about anything else I just have to share my second favorite dress of the evening. Marion Cotillard’s sheer Dior gown was magnificent. Also very on trend with the sheer long skirts we love this year! She is absolutely the goddess of natural grace and beauty.

On other red carpet observations, Dick Tracy Yellow seems to be the it color. Bold and perfect for Spring. Here’s a few ladies in full glorious yellow.

Another big trend for the evening were shimmering metallic scales. Our favorite was Carey Mulligan’s playful gold to silver metallic frock by Prada.
